How interesting to end with Spring! I might, at this time, recommend Tchaikovsky's Seasons. Maybe that made you screech. I am not much for Romantic music either, but there are more piano notes in one minute of Tchaikovsky than the entire catalogue of Mozart, lol. Nonetheless, I saw where you said your dad likes this piece. I like to use logic as I navigate my way through life, and I logically concluded that your dad must be a man. I also logically assumed he is a grown man. As such, if he is a grown man and he liked this piece, then perhaps, as a grown man, I myself will like this piece. Forsooth! Keep writing!
This is wonderful and I'm glad I saw a note about it today because somehow I missed it in my inbox. It's a brilliant way to write a year & beautifully done. Here for your stats, but mostly for your great art, actually.
Stunning, and so moving, Anna. I really love these little poem-stories. So many lines really struck me. They're such evocative, visual, gorgeous mini-pieces, as different as the seasons themselves, the whole somehow becoming something even grander than just the sum of the parts.
I really did love the simplicity of this structure--I found it really inspiring. Some simple theme and variation, how it connected all these disparate things. It really allowed me to sink into the imagery.
It’s a really liberating approach to fragments. Finding a frame and putting them together on the wall. The drawing is then in the negative space—in the connection between images!

Ha ha, thanks Isabel. My friend will be jealous.

Thanks Rob, and I’m looking forward to reading your latest today!
That was beautiful, Anna, thank you💕.
I love this:
“the fiery torch of Aragorn, held out against the wraiths.” Such a good visual.
Ah, thanks Sheila! That's one of those lines I could never quite be sure about but also just couldn't let go!
Thank you for a well contemplated year. And the music is lovely.
Thanks for reading, Chris
“To them I was a happily married person with my own house and my own business, full of wisdom and good advice. It almost felt true.“
sometimes I feel like when we are most “put together” we are most falling apart.
So if I may reverse that... the (seeming) chaos that is my life means I'm doing fine.
If in the chaos you have your head on your shoulders then, yes?
Beautiful movement through the seasons and different homes…
In a nutshell! Thanks

It was a connecting of things I'd written over the years that I was never quite sure what to do with.
It’s a really liberating approach to fragments. Finding a frame and putting them together on the wall. The drawing is then in the negative space—in the connection between images!
Yes! Almost feels like cheating.
Re-reading now I'm in a spot where I can listen to the music, Anna. Atmospheric.
Thanks Wendy
Gentle & reflective. I like.
Thanks!
The Four Seasons. I half expected Vivaldi. Or Frankie Valli.
Me too but in hindsight… maybe too obvious for Anna’s bright light!
