My neighbour has Rhododendron's all around the edge of her garden, they remind me of a public garden I used to visit with my father as a child - I hated them then - for no reason other than I hated the colours pink and purple - and I hate them now because they block the view to their magnificent veggie patch!
Thank you. I love your stories. Sometimes they are very funny, as a motto of this town. It reminded me of an old Russian woman's answer to the question, When is your daughter coming back. Her answer: When she comes, she comes. You have a very good eye. Just don't be too satirical about poor Rhododendron (What a name!). One is in my backyard. I think I wouldn't survive in this town either.
I love the concept of a knowing laugh. Puzzling and ambiguous… Yet makes me want to soil my drawers.
well golly try to keep 'em dry
"This bus is now Bus Number Three." I wish all changes were that easy.
Better than Denver's RTD system.
I feel I am on the bus with you.
Strangely I wrote about rhododendron last week. They remind me of Liberace in his pink feathers. I like Liberace but struggle with rhododendron too.
The Liberace of flowers (but no diss to Liberace) …that’s perfect
I want to be renown for my stop at the mouth of a random forest. Especially one of pine trees and gaudy prom puffs.
Love it, Anna! I can just picture it. Reminds me a bit of people I met while not being quite there back in Big Sur!
Totally. Thank you!
Your neighbourhood watch notes are so funny. It sounds rather a wonderful - atmospheric- place to have spent part of your life, Anna!
Thanks Wendy. I’m still subscribed to that local paper just for the crime reports!

Loved this Anna, as always a smile x
I had to leave not only the town, but the state. Because it’s the state flower!
💕💕- this piece and the town’s motto!
😁

Thank you Larisa. Believe me, I had to force myself to hold back about the rhododendrons!
Don't forget, it is natural, it's stronger than us. It is here, it was before me, it will be here after me.
OMG, sorry, I sound like a philosopher.
Ha ha! I'm sure the rhodies appreciate it.
Unfortunately, they don't. As superiors, they don't care.
