I just re-read this chapter as I'm looking forward to parts three and four. My young twenties were so conventional so I love to read about your experiences and how you thought about life, how free you were to travel. Advice I've heard about memoir is to allow readers to relate, but there's also the appeal of reading about a path so different than your own. And great writing makes any memoir a pleasure.
Thanks David, I've often thought maybe a bit less freedom would have stood me in good stead... which is probably just a way of trying to blame my parents for my own excesses! Chapter 3 is giving me some trouble, might need to scrap it and add, as you say, more relatable stuff about where I was in my thoughts and feelings, or more backstory, in its place. Looking forward to reading your latest.
Beautifully written. Happy to see, there is another installment, even if I’m reading in the wrong order. As someone who lives and travels in a beat-up old van, I especially loved reading about your cozy home on wheels.
Risky and crazy lovable chapter. Anna.
Just saw this, thank you Mary!
Fun! Love the music bits. Reminding me… I used to love Hungarian folk songs. Will find again today.

My children have taught me that being blamed is part of a parent's duty!
I finally found time to read the second installment. It didn’t disappoint. Thank you.
The music sounds right up my alley

And I love reading about yours! Thank you
Loved both of these instalments. There's a beauty to this lean prose. Just great!
Thank you, Julian!
Wonderfully written and enthralling. I can’t wait to read more!
Thanks, that's very good to hear
I always get lost in your writing…mesmerizing
Thank you Will!
