I am so in awe of good mothers. I was a miserable failure, but my kids survived and they still speak to me, which says more about their characters than mine.
Gah, the comments people make, Anna. It's so touching to read these reflections from your son's infancy.
I remember being on the hospital ward with newborn prem triplets. "You've got your hands full!" was the most common reaction. And I mean true, yes, but what I really appreciated were the people who said, "You are so lucky. A triple blessing!" Because that was how it felt.
Another great window into somewhere, thank you
Thanks, Mark
Lucky indeed for you and your son. Those treasured writings are even more precious as kids grow up —. For kids and Moms.
So true

I became a mother at 46, can't imagine having done it any sooner
What a snapshot!
I’m so glad I was able to write a few things down despite the sleep deprivation!
I like your writing style. It's light, easy, and at once about the hardest things in life.
Thank you Larisa
